The position of the center channel should be based on the position of the right and left tweeters.

I might see a little pixelization at 12 with a 120 screen but i m thinking it won t be too bad as that s right on the cusp of pixelization according to.

The sound comes from the screen sound effects and dialog are both typically produced by the center left and right front channel speakers.
Ideally the center channel speaker should go where it s closest to your ear level when seated.

It depends on how much space you have above and below your screen.
Putting the speaker below means the bottom of it is about 18 off the floor and putting it above means the top is about 18 from the ceiling.
Reasons to use an acoustically transparent screen there are a few reasons to use an acoustically transparent projector screen over a normal projector screen.
The ideal is to have the centre speaker behind the screeen but this is only viable if using an acoustically transparent pj screen.
Whether you have the centre above or below is a compromise and neither is better than the other.
If using a projector and an acoustically transparent projector screen installing the center speaker at ear height behind the screen is the ideal positioning.
